Finding Balance in the Midst of Reinvention: A Message for Women in the Sandwich Generation

I had tea with a friend this week, and something became abundantly clear: women in the Sandwich Generation—those of us juggling careers, caregiving, and our own evolving identities—are going through massive life transitions. And it feels different from anything we’ve experienced before.

The job market is shifting beneath our feet. Corporate America, once a place where we thrived, now seems to be nudging us aside in favor of a younger, fresher workforce. At the same time, we’re caring for aging parents, supporting our kids as they launch into adulthood, and trying to figure out where we fit in all of it.

It’s overwhelming. It’s exhausting. And at times, it feels like the world is asking us to just fade quietly into the background.

But that’s not who we are.

We are being called to reinvent ourselves—not just because we have to, but because deep down, we want to. There’s a stirring inside of us, a feeling that says, There’s something more for me. I just need to figure out what that is.

And that’s where I come in.

I know this transition intimately because I’m living it, too. I stepped away from a structured corporate role into the unknown world of running my own business. Some days, I feel like a Swiss Army knife—versatile, resourceful, and ready for anything. Other days, it feels like I’m pouring out energy with little coming back in return.

I know what it’s like to introduce yourself at a networking event and fumble for the right words. To go from a clear, confident job title—"I’m the Head of Talent Acquisition at Company X"—to trying to stitch together a narrative that makes sense. To question whether you’re doing the right thing, or if you’re just spinning your wheels.

If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know—you are not alone. You are not invisible. And this season of change? It’s not the end of your story. It’s the beginning of something new.

I help women in transition figure out what’s next—whether that’s a new career path, a business idea, or simply a way to bring more balance into their lives. Because no matter how uncertain things may feel right now, you are still capable, still valuable, and still you.

There is no other place I’d rather be than here, helping you step into the next version of your life with confidence.

Are you ready to take the first step? Let’s figure out what’s next—together.
